The France of Colors

In Montauban, the residents of a housing estate have embraced the „Image Box, Word Box“ initiative proposed by Alain Benesty to share stories of mutual welcome between different nationalities. For exiled individuals, there is always a serious reason behind leaving their homeland. Within them, something is always missing, something in pain—an origin, a family, a life. But encounters bring enrichment: the world comes to the neighborhood, perspectives and behaviors shift through interactions and sharing—primarily of food and festive moments, but also of more ordinary times, moments of dialogue, and the inevitable confrontations of culture, beliefs, and language. Only dialogue and hospitality can help us understand one another and grow.
