Analysis of the concept of identity, individual and collective, from a psychological perspective. According to the author, in order for students to engage in the educational process, they must feel that they are accepted by their teachers and peers. In order to negotiate differences, teachers must have accepted their own multiple affiliations. Teaching is a constant confrontation with diversity, and therefore a constant confrontation with ourselves.
