This contribution examines the contemporary obsession with innovation in education and psychotherapy. The author highlights the value of institutional practices, inspired by institutional pedagogy and psychotherapy, which emphasize individuality and transference. Grounded in Peirce’s semiotics, the approach favors an abductive and indeterminate logic, welcoming unpredictability and subjectivity in contrast to the increasing technicization and standardization of human practices.
