This section of the book Pedagogy and Language is a collection of studies on the Calandretas, immersive bilingual Occitan schools, and on the links within them between immersive bilingual pedagogy and institutional pedagogy. It gives rise to a linguistic and pedagogical praxis where language life is not limited to teaching one or two languages, but opens up to the trans-linguistic life of meaning—a praxis that accounts for the uniqueness of the speaking subject, the negative dialectic of culture, and the real life of groups.
