Calendreta

Calandretas are secular associative schools in France that offer bilingual education in Occitan and French. Founded in 1979, they employ the early immersion method, allowing children to learn Occitan from preschool onwards. These schools follow the National Education programs and draw inspiration from active pedagogies, such as the Freinet method, aiming to foster autonomy, sharing, and citizenship among students.
