Kristoff K.Roll, Meeting, in Calais

J.-Kristoff Camps and Carole Rieussec form the electroacoustic music duo Kristoff K.Roll. Their artistic work—blending the production and sharing of concrete music, electroacoustic blues, and the creation of a multilingual dream library—has, for over thirty years, led them above all to engage politically and civically with peoples, genders, and beings who are struggling, vulnerable, or made invisible. Among other initiatives, they have worked and collaborated in Calais, where their encounters—like in other places—have brought together the creative and political potential of each individual. Alongside these small-scale, fertile practices that sometimes rekindle meaning, they also bring a critical lens to macro-social causes and responsibilities, observing the current landscape of violence inflicted upon migrants and those who assist them.
