This film retraces the collective creation of the Encyclopedia, which involved nearly 700 people. The Encyclopedia of Migrants is an artistic project initiated by Paloma Fernández Sobrino and coordinated by the association L’âge de la tortue. Born in Rennes, this European cooperation project was developed between 2014 and 2017 in 8 cities along the Atlantic coast, in France, Spain, Portugal, and Gibraltar. This encyclopedia is composed of 400 testimonies in the form of intimate letters, each accompanied by a photographic portrait of the witness. It also includes 16 texts written by researchers in the humanities and social sciences.
