“The rule of law in Greece under threat. The systematic criminalization of the criminalization of “boat/car driving” in Greece

The present study examines the reality of efforts to combat illegal immigration in Greece, analysing the current legal framework and its practical application. It demonstrates that instead of protecting the rights of migrants and asylum seekers, these policies criminalise them and expose them to long prison sentences on charges of illegal trafficking, simply for crossing the border by boat or car.
