The Albanian immigrant experience in Greece has often been overlooked, leaving a significant gap in the narrative of Greek social history. Despite their pivotal role in reshaping Greek society, the voices and cultural contributions of the Albanian community remain marginalized. ASKI (the Contemporary Social History Archives) seeks to address this oversight by establishing a dedicated archive focused on the Albanian experience. By actively involving second-generation students in the archive’s development, the project adopts a bottom-up approach to systematically document the transformative impact of Albanian immigration on Greek society. Ultimately, this initiative prompts a reevaluation of societal values and narratives, urging a broader discussion on contemporary Greece as a convergence of diverse and hybrid identities.
