Below the tip of the iceberg: Building networks for the integration of refugee children in formal education

The paper refers to the work of the team of Refugee Education Coordinators (RECs) of the Open Accommodation Facility of Elaionas, during the school year 2017-2018. It analyses in detail their role, presents the actions they undertake, the partnerships they develop with stakeholders and highlights the synergies that lead to the achievement of their goals alongside the constraints that emerge. A record is also made of the lessons learnt from the implementation of the project so far, which lead to the empowerment of refugee students and the continuous professional improvement of the SEPs.
