Bilingual conversations

In this chapter, after a brief overview of the different approaches in the field of code-switching, Auer’s model is used to analyse bilingual conversations in Greek and Turkish. The data show that code-switching can be instantaneous, highlighting one of the two codes as the main one, but it can also enable interlocutors to create a bilingual conversational medium.
