Why is the new generation of Albanian immigrants in Greece losing their language?

The article explores the reasons behind the weakening or loss of the Albanian language among the second generation of Albanian migrants in Greece. Through a sociolinguistic and educational lens, it examines the roles of schooling, family practices, and social prejudice in shaping language attitudes and choices. The shift toward the Greek language emerges as both a response to assimilation pressures and a strategy for social mobility and acceptance.
